MARA OSERO
Community-Based Organisation
Empowering the community, working with and within the nature.
A peaceful place in the bush of the Maasai lands.
Hidden behind the bushes of Kenya, surrounded by wild animals and a natural environment, you will find a peaceful place where the birds sing. The garden provides us food, and we drink rainwater. Beautiful houses were built by a creative mind among flowers and other plants creating a truly magical atmosphere. In these Maasai lands, you can hear the cows' bells as they graze fresh grass. Every day is unique and brings new experiences !
When you arrive you will meet the founder, a man who decided to start a new life and build this camp with his own hands, Geoffrey Kamoye (Jeff). He will show you what the crazy life in the wilderness is !
It is a beautiful place to feel at peace and connect with nature, and revel in moments of self-discovery. When you come, be yourself and have fun! We are always happy to welcome new people and share our beautiful projects.

Last event
We had the great opportunity to host a world heritage program of UNESCO in partnership with a Kenyan organisation, KVSO, with UNESCO and Critical Conversation. For a week, we were immersed in the Maasai culture and we took part in various activities in the community and also in the camp. We welcomed people from diverse countries, tribes, and projects to our camp. We got the chance to showcase the projects of our CBO. The project Critical Conversation created beautiful moments for all of us to live together : morning exercices and dances, discussing important topics, and listening to their beautiful stories. Storytelling is important in the Maasai culture. We bounded over shared meals, songs, dances, laughter, bonfires,...
