Come volunteer in our project !
Mara Osero Project has been welcoming volunteers from all over the world for over 10 years. We work mainly with European associations or directly with volunteers.
Once in the camp, the volunteers take part in everyday Kenyan life : cooking, going shopping by motorbike, cleaning, doing the washing by hand...
Which kind of work ?

The gardens
Farming is a really important part of camp life! We're lucky to have two gardens that help us be more self-sufficient. We get to enjoy super fresh and top-quality produce. As volunteers, we spend our days tending to the land and taking care of the plants that will give us tasty fruits and veggies. It's a daily activity that we all love. We learn to create nursery beds for the seeds, which nutriments the plants need, when to water them,... You will gain a lot of knowledge in the garden.
The cows
For the Maasai tribe, cows are really important. Their animals love enjoying the quality of the grass in the camp to keep their cows happy and well-fed all day long. Every morning, they milk the cows and enjoy it mixed with tea (they call it chai), a lovely way to start the day!

The landscape
The host has done an amazing job brightening up the camp by planting beautiful flowers and plants. We make sure to regularly trim the bushes and keep the area around the flowers meticulously clean.
We visit school and their projects
We have made meaningful contributions to various projects in local schools with the generous support of volunteers and other organisations.
As volunteers, we devoted a day to engaging with the children and offering our help to the teachers whenever they needed it.
This picture shows one of the projects the creater of Mara Osero Project has created with volunteers. Concrete blocs for them to have an easier way of walking in the school on rainy days.
